Computer numerical control (CNC) machining is an automated process where machines are controlled by a computer. Sterling Precision Machining, Inc. offers full CNC machining services. Sterling has several CNC Milling and CNC Turning centers to support your production needs.
Our Haas VF-3 and VF-4 machining centers are capable of producing highly repeatable operations and with the addition of the 4th axis, can perform a variety of CNC milling operations. Our SL20/30 CNC turning centers give us the ability to turn parts as small as 1/8” in diameter and as large as 20” in diameter with bar feed capacity up to 2 1/2”.
We can perform CNC milling and CNC turning on many types of materials including plastics, stainless steel, titanium alloys, and aluminum.
Sterling Precision Machining, Inc. offer equipment repair and refurbishing services. Contact us with the type of equipment in need of repair/refurbishing and we will discuss your specific needs.
Fabrication and metal forming is another specialty of Sterling Precision Machining, Inc. We currently have a Trumpf VF130 CNC hydraulic press brake. This brake has a 4-axis CNC back gauge that allows us to precisely control the placement of bends. The ram is also CNC controlled which allows excellent repeatability across a broad range of materials including cold-rolled carbon steel, high strength carbon steel, hot rolled carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
The bend length of 10’ coupled with 130 tons of working force allow us to create 90o bends in ¼” mild steel the length of the bend. Thick material can also be formed in shorter sections. The European style precision ground tooling gives us very short setup times for processing multiple jobs quickly and with impressive accuracy.
Sterling Precision Machining, Inc. offers a full line of finishing services including Mil Spec finishing, wet painting, powder coating, heat treating, and anodizing.
